VISA And Friends...
Visa On The Radio
So what do you want to know? How this fairy tale started? I can lie to you and tell you that it all came easy and with the snap of my fingers but like I said thats a lie! Lets get straight to it! My name is Visa, your Night Show host from 6p-10p. Born and raised in the Bay Area, went to San Jose State and started my radio career in San Francisco at KYLD- WiLD 94.9 where I worked for free, interned, stickered stuff, did everything including cleaning the restrooms. From there I got the chance to be on air weekends at WiLD which was a dream come true since I grew up listening to the station. Few years later I got a call from Sam Diggedy asking if I wanted to come down to KDON and be the Night Show host and for the next 5 years held it down from 6p-10p! During this time I got the chance to be on the air in LA at KPWR, Las Vegas at KLUC, WiLD 106 in SLO and KMVQ in SF. Then October of 2011 I left KDON to further pursue my dreams of becoming an astronaut and explore space. I then went to Space Camp and on the day of my shuttle launch I asked the captain 2 vital things of importance that could be the deciding factor of my space career...1.Are there night clubs that play house music in space? and 2. Can I still wear hair gel under my space helmet? Few days later I left space camp angry that my two questions were followed with a NO. Soon after I remembered the people of the 831 and how I missed them and how I left the 6p-10p shift a ghost town. And a light bulp turned on, I must return to my people. I called upon my white horse jumped on it and ripped off my shirt and galloped in to the 831 like a valiant hero returning to his people. And now I am back on your radio 6p-10p every night. I know just a ho-hum story right?!
“I’m always looking for something that I haven’t seen before,” he told Billboard in an interview before the award show. “[Also] something that’s going to make an impact [by] using simple elements but creatively so it makes people think a bit.”
Miguel recently collaborated with Mariah for her single, “#Beautiful,” and it currently is resting at No. 24 on the Hot 100 charts.
“Mariah is, she is so fast. Her mind is is extremely sharp,” he said. “I didn’t really know what to expect, how involved she would be creatively but … she was really behind the vision of ‘#Beautiful’ being a duet between her and I. The video went with all of that. She’s a mastermind.
This weekend, Justin Bieber was booed while accepting an award at the Billboard Music Awards. The crowd reaction was enough to startle the 19-year-old, who used his acceptance speech to tell everyone he should be “taken seriously” and that they should not speak of “this other bull.”
Now another incident caught on video at the Billboard Music Awards is making the rounds on the internet.
Backstage at the show, Bieber ran into his on-again, off-again girlfriend, Selena Gomez. Their encounter was caught briefly on camera, and Bieber can be seen receiving a peck on the cheek from Gomez. What’s more interesting, however, is that fellow pop star Taylor Swift happened to be walking by the couple at that exact moment. Her look of disgust perfectly encapsulates what the large portion of the crowd who booed Bieber must have been feeling:
Bieber hasn’t officially commented on either of Sunday night’s embarrassments. Instead, the pop star used his 39 million-follower Twitter feed to thank fans and express his love for Jesus:
Miguel was TRYING to jump from the stage to a platform, but he missed ... and instead, a fan got ROCKED with a BRUTAL (yet accidental) LEG DROP TO THE FACE!!!!!
It all went down during M's performance at the Billboard Music Awards last night when the singer was performing his hit, "Adorn" ... which, minus the face-bashing, was pretty damn good.
After the performance, Miguel met with the fan backstage and tweeted about the leg drop -- "Got caught up in the moment, thank goodness Khyati is okay."
