Visa On The Radio
So what do you want to know? How this fairy tale started? I can lie to you and tell you that it all came easy and with the snap of my fingers but like I said thats a lie! Lets get straight to it! My name is Visa, your Night Show host from 6p-10p. Born and raised in the Bay Area, went to San Jose State and started my radio career in San Francisco at KYLD- WiLD 94.9 where I worked for free, interned, stickered stuff, did everything including cleaning the restrooms. From there I got the chance to be on air weekends at WiLD which was a dream come true since I grew up listening to the station. Few years later I got a call from Sam Diggedy asking if I wanted to come down to KDON and be the Night Show host and for the next 5 years held it down from 6p-10p! During this time I got the chance to be on the air in LA at KPWR, Las Vegas at KLUC, WiLD 106 in SLO and KMVQ in SF. Then October of 2011 I left KDON to further pursue my dreams of becoming an astronaut and explore space. I then went to Space Camp and on the day of my shuttle launch I asked the captain 2 vital things of importance that could be the deciding factor of my space career...1.Are there night clubs that play house music in space? and 2. Can I still wear hair gel under my space helmet? Few days later I left space camp angry that my two questions were followed with a NO. Soon after I remembered the people of the 831 and how I missed them and how I left the 6p-10p shift a ghost town. And a light bulp turned on, I must return to my people. I called upon my white horse jumped on it and ripped off my shirt and galloped in to the 831 like a valiant hero returning to his people. And now I am back on your radio 6p-10p every night. I know just a ho-hum story right?!
And just like last time, it was an awards show that set him off. During a performance in London over the weekend, the rapper ripped into a slew of people and companies during an 11-minute rambling rant … including, once again, T-Swift.
“Taylor Swift beat Beyoncé at the Grammys?” he bellowed into the mic during a tirade, which also took aim at Jay-Z and Justin Timberlake’s “Suit & Tie,” according to MTV News. “Beyoncé be dancing in heels and s**t.”
Was Kanye was once again sipping on a bottle of Courvoisier? (which he blamed for his 2009 outburst) Because, Beyoncé and Swift were not even nominated in the same category at this year’s Grammys. Swift only won one trophy, for Best Song Written For Visual Media (“Safe and Sound”) and her competition was Mumford & Sons and T Bone Burnett … not Beyoncé. But the "Halo" singer did win for Best Traditional R&B Performance with "Love on Top."
After Kanye embarrassed the then-19-year-old Swift at the VMAs in 2009, she showed her forgiveness at the following year’s show by performing her new song “Innocent.” Before she sang, a video montage played of that moment when he took the mic out of her hand as she gave her acceptance speech for Best Female Video and told the audience that Beyoncé deserved the award instead. “It’s OK, life is a tough crowd,” Swift sang at the time. “Thirty-two and still growing up now/Who you are is not what you did/You’re still an innocent."
Well, Kanye is 35 now … and he doesn’t seem to have grown up too much.
How will Swift respond this time? Seems like “I Knew You Were Trouble” has a whole new meaning
