Pink Ombre

This week I decided to do something very simple & easy for you guys as you can see. There's lots of different ways people achieve this ombre look, but I just used the sponge technique. It's quick, simple, & only cost a couple bucks if anything for a bag of these make up sponges! :) Let's get started.

Step 1
Not REALLY an actualy step lol, just wanted to show you guys the nail polishes I used for this look. I have 2 shades of pink from Sephora by Opi. You can really use any 2, or 3, or 4 colors you'd like. Try to stick with the same shade of colors to get a really nice blending effect. I also have my white base coat, a clear glitter polish, and clear top coat.

Step 2
Start by doing any type of cleaning up you need to do to your nails, removing polish, filing & shaping, etc. Paint on one coat of white base coat, this will make the colors you put on over more bright & vibrant & will last longer.

Step 3
This is the type of make up sponge I use for all my ombre nail looks. They're only a couple bucks at like CVS or Target or even the Dollor Store! The cheap store brand ones work just fine. :)

Step 4
Make sure the white base coat is COMPLETEY dry, VERY IMPORTANT! Paint the two polishes (or how ever many colors you're using) onto the sponge. Not too much because when you stamp it on your nail you don't want the colors smushing out looking like a big blob.

Step 5
Gently stamp the colors onto your nail. It WILL look very light & faint. Let it dry, then repeat step 4 & 5 about 3 or 4 times get more color to your nail, letting the colors blend together.

Step 6
After the colors have completely dried, paint over them one layer of the clear glitter polish. This will also blend the colors together a little better, and the glitter is just cute & gives it a little somethin' extra. ;) After this has dried, slap on a coat of your clear top coat polish & BAM! You're done. Pretty easy right? :)
