DMX is adding to his acting resumé.
According to AllHipHop.com, the rapper is set to play himself in an upcoming comedy film starring Chris Rock.
In a statement, DMX's rep says the comedic scene featuring DMX allows the rapper "to show off his versatility" as an actor. The rep adds that DMX and Chris Rock "played well of each other."
Few details of the untitled film are available, but the rep explained that DMX's scene takes place in jail and that Chris' character convinces the rapper to "lead the inmates in a song."
The rep says that this is just the beginning in a series of film roles for DMX. Apparently, "there are more acting roles to come." DMX has previously had roles in films such as "Romeo Must Die," "Cradle 2 the Grave" and "Exit Wounds."
