Listen to Baauer on iHeartRadio

"Harlem Shake" creator Baauer is in hot water for allegedly using samples on the hit track without permission.  Former reggaeton artist Hector Delgado - who used to perform under the name Hector El Father - tells the New York Times he was shocked to hear himself singing the verse "con los terroristas" on the track.

Apparently, the verse was taken from Delgado's 2006 track "Maldades."  He says Baauer's use of the lyric was similar to someone coming onto his land and building a house.

Meanwhile, former rapper Jayson Musson can be heard yelling the track's famous phrase "Do the Harlem Shake."  Now the pair is asking to be compensated for their contributions to the track.

While neither has taken legal action, lawyers for both parties are in negotiations with Baauer's record label Mad Decent records over compensation.  Apparently, the talks have been friendly.  Musson says the label has been "more than cooperative."
