No Limit Records is mourning the loss of one of their former colleagues.  Mr. Magic - born Awood Johnson - and his wife, Chastity, passed away in a fatal car crash on Friday in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. 

According to New Orleans Times-Picayune, the only survivor of the crash was the couple's 12-year old daughter Twila Wise Johnson.  After his death a number of former No Limit artists took to Twitter to remember Magic. 

Rappers Silkk the Shocker and Mystikal expressed their condolences to the friends and family of Mr. Magic.  Mia X, who was supposed to perform with Magic on Friday, posted a photo on Instagram of the rapper and his wife after she learned the tragic news.  She also wrote that she had "looked forward to performing and laughing" with Magic.  She added that everyone who loved the rapper is "shocked and hurt" by the news of his death.  

Mr. Magic released three albums under the No Limit label.  His first record Sky's the Limit debuted at number 15 on the Billboard 200 chart.  The album featured a number of big name rappers, including Mystikal, Snoop Dogg and Soulja Slim.  Magic released his last album On My Own in 2003.  In 2004 Magic helped form the rap group Body Headbangaz.  That year the group released the hit song "I Smoke, I Drank."
