Listen to Lil Wayne on iHeartRadio
The family of Emmitt Till is speaking out against Lil Wayne.
On the remix to Future's latest track "Karate Chop," Wayne makes a graphic and sexually explicit reference to Till, who was beaten to death in 1955 after reportedly flirting with a white woman in Mississippi. His murder later helped galvanize the Civil Rights Movement.
Now Till's cousin, Airickca Gordon-Taylor, tells ThyBlackMan.com that the family is outraged over Wayne's verse. She says Weezy was "very disrepectful" when he compared Till's murder with the "anatomy of a woman."
She goes on to say that Wayne's verse was not only offensive to her family, but also to women and even "themselves as young, black men."
Taylor adds that Wayne and Future "have no pride and no dignity as black men."
