Ok here's my story...Eric "The Funky 1" is the radio name, formerly Eric "The Latin Kid" but you can just call me Eric, or "E". The "Funky" part of my name stands for my love for House music, don't get it twisted Ladies...I ALWAYS smell good! I'm a Bay Area Boy with a little Florida in me...half Salvadorean, half Puerto Rican, with nothing but love for everyone! The radio career got started at KYLD (WiLD 94.9) in my hometown San Francisco. I spent six and a half years there, and also was at SFCLUBS as the Promotions Coordinator running the nightlife scene. I got an offer I could not refuse and made my home at 102.5 KDON THE HOTTEST MUSIC as the Assistant Program Director, Music Director, and Afternoon host proud to be at this Powerhouse of a radio station! If you like Old School check out my other station which I do the behind the scenes stuff for 105.1 K-OCEAN. I'm thankful every day to be able to do what I know and love for a living for so long now. Ok time for my cheap plug...check me out weekdays 3pm-8pm as we take over the afternoon airwaves! I just think I'm a smart ass!" Besides all things Entertainment like music, movies and TV, I'm a big sports guy...love my Giants, Sharks, 49ers, Warriors, and Magic! I'm also very down for the community supporting animal rights, fighting homelessness & hunger, and support for our troops over seas...thank you so much for everything you do and we hope to have you home safe!
